Abbey Stams Tirol
Stams Abbey
Our excursion begins with a visit to the Cistercian Abbey of Stams, whose foundation dates back to the 13th century.
Precious treasures and splendid interiors can be marvelled at within a guided tour of the abbey.
The collegiate church, since 1984 also a minor Basilica, forms the spiritual and architectural centre of the abbey. In addition to numerous sacred art treasures, the richly furnished church interior houses the princely crypt. Set into the church floor of the nave and with life-size gilded figures, it is the memorial to the Tyrolean sovereigns and their family members buried in Stams.
Mieming Plateau
Our round trip continues past the pilgrimage church of Maria Locherboden, situated high above the Inn valley, and over the Mieming Plateau to Telfs and Mösern.
Seefeld Olympia Region
Passing Mösern – famous for the largest free-standing bell in the Alpine region, the so-called Bell of Peace – we finally reach the small town of Seefeld at 1.200 m above sea level.
Our guided walk lets you discover Seefeld´s most beautiful corners.
Our Tip:
A walk or carriage ride around the Seefelder Wildsee or to the Wildmoosalm are worthwhile (duration approx. 45 minutes).
Or how about a guided tour of the Tyrolean Bio Alpaca Farm?
