Achensee - Achenkirch - Tyrol
Rattenberg - Austria's smallest town
On this tour we discover Rattenberg, the smallest town in Austria. The historic town is picturesquely nestled between the Inn River and the old Castle Hill.
Not to be overlooked are also the numerous glass processing manufactures, thanks to which Rattenberg gained a supra-regional reputation as a glass town. During a visit to the Kisslinger glassblowing factory we will learn interesting facts about glass production and finishing.
At the end of our stroll, why not treat yourself to a culinary reward and try some of the sweet delicacies from the famous Hacker confectionery!
Alpbach - Austria's most beautiful village
We will then pay a visit to Alpbach. The village was awarded the prizes "Most Beautiful Village of Austria" and "Most Beautiful Flower Village of Europe" thanks to its homogeneous and unique wooden alpine building style and its beautiful floral splendour.
Achensee - Tyrol´s largest Lake
The Achensee (Lake Achen) is embedded like a fjord between the Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges. Tyrol's largest lake has a length of about 9 kilometres. On the shores of the lake, the two picturesque villages of Pertisau and Achenkirch invite you to linger.
How about a boat trip on the turquoise waters or a hike along the lake?
Our Tip:
A popular destination at the Achensee is the Falzthurn valley in the Karwendel Nature Park with its green pastures and alpine meadows. From Pertisau, the valley and the Falzturnalm hut can be reached easily by bus via a toll road.
